Many of these files originally came from the DarkStar music club website. The club sprung up and had a very short existence around 1996-1997. Many of these files were created by the club's members. At the time, Particle was known by the handle Quark (as in quark particle ;-)

After DarkStar's slow down, these files found their way on Judgment MIDI music website (hosted on Geocities). And now that we have this domain, we're hosting them here.
