You should really consider getting a Java capable browser... (or maybe just turning "java" on inside your browser...) Or downloading Java VM or something. You must be the only person on the web who doesn't have Java in their browser! (or one of the unfortunate few to have a clean install of WindowsXP :-)

This is a Wobble (synonym for Quake :-) applet. It displays an untextured quake1 map, and allows the viewer to fly around, etc. Let me know what you think. (Note, the map is a bit under 200k, so it may take a minute or two to download over a slow connection).

Controls: Use mouse look (click and drag mouse over applet). Thresh like controls: W moves forward, S moves backwards, A moves left, and D moves right. (ARROW KEYS: UP moves forward, DOWN moves backwards, LEFT turns left, RIGHT turns right). Q rolls left, E rolls right.

Performance: This applet is not designed for speed. It doesn't do some of the key optimizations that are possible. It is a straight forward BSP tree walk (very similar to Dog3D!) It runs fine on modern hardware/software (fine under IE, it runs kinda slow on Netscape 3), also feels a bit slow on old hardware like P100.
