Since I'm taking a Java class this semester (yeah, really!, no joke!) I have convinced the instructor to put a link on the class page to my Java Data Structures document.

BrainStarted writing a document on theoretical computer science. Begun with a discussion of Regular Languages, and quickly realized that I need to cover a bit more detail before moving onto languages in general. Will cover things like set theory, and general language concepts before going directly into regular or context-free languages. Will see what happens...

Went over the Brooklyn Bridge again. Took a few interesting pictures, including the one in the bottom of the page, of New York sky-line.

Programming Language PragmaticsGot several new books today. One that seems extremely interesting is Programming Language Pragmatics by Michael L. Scott. It is about language design, and compiler implementation. I'm very thrilled about this book, it seems to have everything I will need for my Compiler Construction class (It has most of the theoretical material in it's first few chapters). I'm seriously considering making this book the required text for the class. An alternative would be to use Crafting a Compiler with C, by Fischer & LeBlank. The other book I got mostly for it's popularity (or lack of). It is C++ Programming Language, Third Edition, by Bjarne Stroustrup (The Creator of C++). It's funny that it actually does say "The Creator of C++" on the cover! I've heard horror stories about this book, and decided to check it out myself. I would think that a person who designed the language would be pretty good at describing it to others. Then again, I think I'd enjoy reading a very techy, system independent, programming language description, from the compiler writer's point of view.

Was wondering around my hard-drive and stumbled over a document I must have had since the time I was in high school. It's a nice little doc named: The Conscience of a Hacker. Kind of makes you think. This article was on this web-site since the beginning of time. I just never bothered to link to it from anywhere.

Crazy Idea! (very crazy =)

Finally, the  Java Data Structures Tutorial 2nd Edition contains MORE information than the good old original one, and there is lots more to come. Check it out! (last updated: July 7th, 1999)

Written a bunch of small documents on stuff about the calendar, and e-mail servers. Also added a Tutorials, the Book Reviews section & GECCTT.

Many people don't seem to know about my College Computer Class Homework Archive: http://acc6.its.brooklyn.cuny.edu/~asverdlo

What this site is about?
  Shock

This site is about having fun. Any questions?

Internet is becoming more and more polluted with junk-mail, people selling crap, and businesses which don't know their place on the net. They're all trying to make this wonderful place (i.e.: the net) in to hell (i.e.: real world). Internet should be viewed as a place of imagination, creativity, and most of all: fun. Internet is not some really advanced tool for searching for people to rip-off. It's about searching, and finding, things which are useful, helpful, and promote the sharing of ideas.
