Combat
Troopers in GECCTT are not like your wimpy Quake marines who just go around dying constantly. They have been genetically engineered and evolved for combat over generations.
They can take much stronger hits than original humans. Approximately double
before they are even Downed. Double that again to kill them.
They constantly, but slowly, regenerate.
This means damage and kills in GECCTT are a bit more complex than most FPS.
In order of pain
- Knocked
- When a trooper takes 40% or more damage in one shot or in 1 second. Knocked
off their feet, stunned, or a limb is blown off.
Limbs are regenerated when Health is restored to max.
- Wounded
- When a trooper is taken below 50%. Strength, Quickness, Morale and Mana
is reduced by the amount Health is below 50%. eg 25% Health = 75% STR
- Downed
- When a trooper is taken below 0 Health but not coup-de-graced. Can barely
move (1/4 Spd). Cannot fight. Only hope is to crawl to safety and regenerate.
- Killed
- Their body is torn to pieces. Taken to -TOU Health.
They are dead and can't return this game. But they can be 'saved' and
brought back (a nano-constructed copy) as they were the last game they survived.
Either imported into a new game or rebuilt by a Level 2 or more Medi factory.
- Coup De Grace
- Killing Blow. A special strike that brings the enemy to 0 or less Health.
Kills the enemy instantly and siphons some of their power out of them into
the victor. Their soul is captured by the victor.
The CDGed trooper is saved on the server and/or the killing gang and the
CDGed trooper cannot fight again on that server and/or against that gang.
The victor is healed 50% the victims TOU. They are then injured a random
1-20 points damage from the energy transfer. They also gain bonus XP.
Play pauses as Everyone on the server gets to view the destruction.
